What is ISSA?
An organisation established to spread knowledge about intersex, to provide the space for the development of an intersexed voice in Southern Africa, and to combat discrimination on grounds of intersex.
What we Believe:
- Intersexed people are a natural variant and an important part of human diversity.
- The birth of an intersexed infant should be celebrated no less than the birth of any other infant.
- ALL diversity should be valued whether of race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, ability, geography and or socio-economic status.
